Precision Department: Removing, preserving and re-setting thousands of terra cotta tiles

The roof was leaking, but the tiles were strong as ever. What happened?

It’s rewarding to help homeowners re-use their roofing material because of its quality and longevity. This Lee’s Summit roof was experiencing leaks, but its Ludowici terra cotta clay tile was holding firm. Instead, the waterproof underlayment beneath the tiles had deteriorated and allowed moisture to penetrate.

Does that mean the entire roof has to be pitched and re-done? Not with quality workmanship and durable materials.

Our task was to remove the underlayment while preserving all the clay tiles. Once a new waterproof membrane was installed, thousands of tiles were re-attached to the roof of this lakeside home. The key? Quality materials that last and a committed team experienced in preserving things that matter.
